Beau Suzie

Beau & his sister Suzie were surrendered to our Shelter and looking for a great home.

Both are wonderful dogs who like children and do like some dogs, not all. It is safe to say these Coon Hounds are not good with cats. They do not dig or chew excessively. They are about 4 1/2 years old and have never been trained for hunting.

When Beau looks at you with those big dark sad eyes, it is so hard not to take him home. He is both sensitive & sweet. Beau & his sister Suzie love to be around people.Suzie is the smaller of the two and is so very sweet & sensitive.

Coon Hounds are a most lovable, sensitive smart and loving breed. They love to be around people and quite content to be in side with you.If Blue Tick Coon Hounds are your type of dog, please come in and meet these two wonderful canines.

All dogs are spayed or neutered, microchipped, dewormed, 1st vaccinations, health check, and come with 6 weeks free pet health insurance at time of adoption.

Flint

Flint is a handsome boy who looks much like his mom Joy. He has been fostered for some time because he needed one on one attention to let him learn he does not have to be afraid of us.

The Brooks Animal Protection Society (formerly Brooks and District SPCA) is a charitable organization dedicated to finding homes for surrendered animals.

We are a very unique society, as we hold the contract with the City of Brooks, for Animal Control. All animals that are brought in through Animal Control are put up for adoption after four business days if not claimed.

If new homes cannot be found for these animals, we send them to non-kill rescue organizations in larger centres in hopes that they can find their forever homes.

Location and Hours

We are located at 415, 1st Avenue E. (beside Allied Distributers)

Hours:

Wednesday 2 p.m. to 7 p.m.
Friday 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Our Animal Control Officer is out Patrolling! If she see's you walking your dog, and it is on leash and licensed, you could receive a coupon for a free Dilly Bar, compliments of Dairy Queen! Have her catch you without a license, and all you get is a license application!

The lost and found section of our site is undergoing some changes to serve you better. Please be patient with us while we work on this. All pets that were posted on our lost and found page will be placed onto the new page.

Getting this webpage advertised so we can help all these pets get new homes, is much easier when other shelters or rescues put a link to our site. We are returning the favour to in turn help them. Please take some time and check them out.

Happy Tails!
